Martha Wainwright Rolls Out Canadian Fall Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 14, 2013

Martha Wainwright may be supporting her latest album Come Home to Mama and her Trauma soundtrack overseas later this month, but the Canadian-born folk artist has announced a number of back-home dates to keep her busy from the summer straight through to 2014.

It had previously been reported that Wainwright would be hitting up the Montreal's International Jazz Festival and Guelph's Hillside fest in July, but a press release has now unveiled a fall trip around Ontario, Quebec and the Yukon. This trek begins October 16 in Gatineau, QC, and wraps over a month later in Quebec City.

VIP ticket packages will be available for these shows, as well as additional dates starting the following February, which will let fans meet Wainwright, as well as receive a download of Trauma and an exclusive 7-inch. Learn more about the VIP packages here.

More dates are expected to be announced in the weeks to come, but you can check out the Canadian itinerary as is down below and peep her upcoming Australian and European show schedule over here.

In other news, it was reported earlier today (May 14) that Wainwright will toast her late mother Kate McGarrigle on a new tribute LP titled Sing Me the Songs. The collection also includes performances from Anna McGarrigle, Rufus Wainwright, Antony Hegarty, Norah Jones, Emmylou Harris, Broken Social Scene, Jimmy Fallon and more. It drops June 25 through Nonesuch.
