Since Mark Kozelek is getting about as much attention for trolling the War on Drugs as for his bittersweet songbook, the Sun Kil Moon singer's live shows may be bringing in crowds for multiple reasons these days. Whatever the nature of interest, Vancouver fans will be getting the chance to see Kozelek in the flesh next month.
Kozelek's sporadic tour schedule features a few U.S. dates this month, but a lone appearance in Canada fills out his February commitments. The newly announced Vancouver concert has been booked at the city's Venue on February 27. Following this, he has a tour of Asia and Australia in March, and a few European appearances later in the year.
Earlier this month, the songwriter announced an upcoming vinyl pressing of his Live at Biko. Recorded in the spring of 2014, the concert collection features songs from Kozelek's solo catalogue, as well as from Sun Kil Moon. The vinyl version arrives February 24 through the artist's own Calo Verde Records.
