Following a series of self-released albums and EPs with his band Makeout Videotape, guitarist/vocalist Mac DeMarco has decided to go it alone on an upcoming solo effort for venerable Brooklyn imprint Captured Tracks.
As Pitchfork reports, the Montreal-based musician will deliver an at least four-song EP for the label on March 20 called Rock and Roll Night Club. If his Bandcamp page is to be believed, that's the glammy artwork up above.
A tracklisting has yet to be revealed, but two of the tracks ("Rock and Roll Night Club" and "Baby's Wearin Blue Jeans") were unveiled online yesterday (January 4). You can stream them over at the site or down below, or you can download the latter, which has the songwriter more sexed up and sultry than on his previous lo-fi rockers, over here.
