As in years past, tracks from the 2014 Adult Swim Singles Program are going up the weekend ahead of their official download date. Following the recent Giorgio Moroder contribution, Machinedrum's house-dabbling "Want Me" is the newest reveal from the party program.
While starting off with frenetic hi-hat hits and stilted, '90s-style synth stabs, "Want Me" doesn't erupt into a high energy dance track. Instead, it plays a bit smoother via commanding conga hits and halftime snare eruptions. All of this is accentuated by a longing vocal snippet and sky-bound keyboard leads.
