Pop auteur Lady Gaga did not achieve huge numbers on her divisive ARTPOP album, but she's already prepared a follow-up that's almost guaranteed to move units. The artist has recorded an album of jazz standards with legendary crooner Tony Bennett.

The two teamed up for a new album called Cheek to Cheek. It sees them going, well, cheek to cheek for an album's worth of solo performances and duets.

The LP includes tracks like "Anything Goes," "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)," "Sophisticated Lady," "Lush Life" and title track "Cheek to Cheek." The album was recorded over the course of a year in New York City.

"Cheek to Cheek came out of a very organic friendship and relationship that Tony and I have built over the years and it truly was a collaborative effort," Lady Gaga said in a press release. "It was important to Tony that this was a jazz record. I've been singing jazz since I was a child and really wanted to show the authentic side of the genre. We made an album of jazz classics, but it has a modern twist."

Bennett added: "I have been singing the Great American Songbook my entire career and all along forging a bridge between pop and jazz music. Creating this album with Lady Gaga has been a beautiful experience as she is a fantastic singer and I am hoping that all her fans will embrace this music and swing along with it."

Cheek to Cheek will be available on September 23 via Streamline/Columbia/Interscope. The album's lead single "Anything Goes" is available on iTunes today (July 29) and can be streamed below.

The two also taped a television special, which will air on PBS this fall.
