Katy Goodman Shares New 'Choose Your Own Adventure' Videogame

Back in 2012, musician Katy Goodman shared a Choose Your Own Adventure-inspired videogame themed around her band Vivian Girls. Now that her main focus is La Sera, the project with which she released last year's Hour of the Dawn, she's released a new game.

Called La Sera is Lost!, the text-based game is described as a "DECIDE-AN-ADVENTURE-THAT-IS-ALL-YOUR-OWN-FUN-TIME-GAME!" The concept for the game is that La Sera are playing a show at the Echo in Los Angeles, and can't find their way to the stage.

The game includes plenty of jokes, and references to Nobunny, Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield and others.

It was created so that Goodman could practice coding in Python, but it's a nice little time killer nonetheless.

To play the game on a Mac, download this document and open it in Terminal. For a PC, download this file and open it with Command Prompt.
