Kyle Bobby Dunn

"The Same (Drunk in Quebec & In Love Club Remix)" (video)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 26, 2015

Kyle Bobby Dunn's ethereal drones are so beautiful that they even make everyday scenes appear profound and poignant, and that's exactly what happens in the clip for "The Same (Drunk in Quebec & In Love Club Remix)" from last year's Kyle Bobby Dunn & the Infinite Sadness (out on Students of Decay).

While soft ambient drones ebb and flow, we see footage of a woman putting on markup and then hitting the city streets at night. She's initially surrounded by crowds but she then heads out on her own before meeting up with someone in a parking garage. The twist is that her face is blurred out, while the friend she meets in garage has some sort of a faceless mask.

It was directed by Josh Barsky. Check it out below.

It's worth pointing out that, while this is labelled a "Club Remix," that's the same way it was listed on the album. Furthermore, there's nothing remotely clubby about it.
