Kurt Cobain's Beatles Cover Gets 7-inch Vinyl Release

We've been hearing murmurings of a forthcoming rarities compilation from the late Kurt Cobain for a while now, but it looks as if a two-song 7-inch single will also soon make the rounds.

Though nothing has been made official just yet, a listing for the 7-inch recently surfaced online [via Modern-Vinyl] and says that it will feature Cobain's cover of the Beatles' 1964 single, "And I Love Her." The recording had been highlighted in this year's Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck documentary.

Said to land November 20, the record's B-side will apparently house "Sappy," a song Nirvana originally delivered through the No Alternative compilation in 1993. It's unclear if this is the Nirvana version or a stand-alone attempt from Cobain.

Keeping in mind that a proper unveiling of the project has yet to be made, Spin reports that a Universal Music rep "confirms the existence of the 7-inch and says that an official announcement will be made next week."

The details of the larger rarities collection have yet to be revealed in full, but it's expected to land on November 6, the same day Montage of Heck is released to the home market.

We'd previously learned that Montage of Heck director Brett Morgen curated the collection, which is allegedly filled with demo recordings of music and comedy routines.
