Kitchener's KOI Music Fest Unveils 2015 Lineup

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 6, 2015

KOI Music Fest is set to take over downtown Kitchener, ON, for the sixth year in a row, and the organizers have just rolled out the list of performers for this year's event.

Letlive., Hawthorne Heights and the Menzingers top this year's bill. Also slated to perform are Make Do and Mend, I See Stars, the Creepshow, Teenage Bottlerocket, the Fast Romantics, PEARS, and the Royal Streets.

In addition to these acts on the main stage, the inaugural "KOI Battle" will pit up-and-coming bands against each other in a competition for a spot on the lineup. There will also be an acoustic brunch series for those looking to ease into the weekend's events with something a little subtler sounding.

"2015 is our sixth year of bringing the best in independent music to the region," said festival co-founder and executive director Cory Crossman in a statement. "We're looking forward to further growing the festival to meet the levels of excitement we've seen for the five years previous. This is only the first of many announcements to come."

All the action is slated to go down in Kitchener from September 25 to 27 at various locations around the city. For future additions and full festival information, check out the official website.
