Kiss

"Hell or Hallelujah" (lyric video)

Face-painted classic rockers Kiss deliver their 20th album Monster this fall, but the "Detroit Rock City" crew are offering up first single "Hell or Hallelujah" a little bit early. While the track hits online retailers tomorrow (July 4), you can peep a new lyric video for the song now.

The track is by-the-books Kiss all the way, for better or for worse. It plays like a hybrid of the manically paced "I Stole Your Love" and the endearingly lunk-headed riff rawker "Got Love for Sale," ensuring your tattered jean jacket-sporting, weed-toking uncle will be banging to this all summer long. It may not be a groundbreaker, but the band are giving their beloved Kiss Army exactly what they want.

Of the track, vocalist/guitarist Paul "Star Child" Stanley said in a statement that its "a battle cry that encapsulates the entire record… one way or another, we're going to do it our way."

Monster still doesn't have an official release date, but the LP is expected sometime this October.

UPDATE: The album is due out on October 16.
