DFA's stable dance pop act the Juan MacLean recently released their excellent In a Dream, and now they've treated its single "A Simple Design" to a music video.
While not exactly complex, the video itself is anything but simple. In front of a deep blue backdrop, Nancy Whang delivers the song's vocals. Painted brush strokes flutter across the screen along with some crinkly wax paper. Eventually the visuals complicate with multiple exposures.

The Juan MacLean have also announced a batch of DJ dates throughout North America. While some see the group's John MacLean performing by his lonesome, there's also a batch where he'll share duties with Whang. Those include Canadian stops at Montreal's Bar Le Ritz on November 1 and Calgary's Hifi Club on November 28.
