It's been a rough spring for legendary folksinger Joni Mitchell, who was taken to hospital after being found unconscious and rumours swirled that she was later in a coma (although her reps refuted these claims). Now, new reports have emerged that Mitchell was initially hospitalized due to a brain aneurysm, and she remains in serious condition.

According to Billboard's sources, Mitchell was originally admitted to hospital due to a brain aneurysm that left her unconscious. According to the report, Mitchell hasn't returned home, and her condition is said to be "very serious."

An additional report from Showbiz 411 says that Mitchell has been moved to rehab and is "improving," although speech continues to be difficult. Earlier this month, her longtime friend Leslie Morris was given conservatorship over the singer.

There hasn't been an health update on Mitchell's homepage for more than a month. Fans can offer their support at the official get-well-soon website WeLoveYouJoni.com.
