Jim Byrnes, Steve Dawson and Big Dave McLean Team Up for Canadian Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 12, 2014

Vancouver label Black Hen Music has been a dependable source of rootsy sounds for nearly two decades, and this fall the company will be gathering up some of the genre's notable names for a tour of the western part of our country.

This acoustic showcase will feature Jim Byrnes, Steve Dawson and Big Dave McLean. All of them are Juno winners with new albums to promote: earlier this year, Byrnes issued St. Louis Times and Dawson went instrumental for Rattlesnake Cage, while McLean's Faded But Not Gone is due out later in the fall. Expect the musicians to perform individually and collaboratively during the shows.

The outing includes nine dates in all. This includes five stops across the Prairies, three in British Columbia, and a tour-closing stop in the Yukon. See the schedule below.

Tour dates:

11/12 Winnipeg, MB - West End Cultural Centre
11/13 Saskatoon, SK - The Bassment
11/14 Edmonton, AB - The Artery
