Jim Bryson & the Weakerthans Announce Canadian Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Nov 16, 2010

Last month, Ottawa, ON-based singer-songwriter Jim Bryson teamed up with Winnipeg, MB heroes the Weakerthans for The Falcon Lake Incident. As the title indicates, the album was recorded in Falcon Lake, MB as a collaboration between the two acts. Now, they have revealed that they will take their working relationship on the road with a set of tour dates.

Miraculously, what we have here is a Weakerthans tour that doesn't include any dates in Manitoba. Instead, the group will join Bryson for a stretch of shows in other areas of our fine country, including multiple dates in Ontario, Quebec, BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. The tour runs from February 3 to March 4.

Prior to this tour, however, the Weakerthans' John K. Samson will busy himself on a road trip with his Correction Line Ensemble. As previously reported, the group will kick off their fall tour in Toronto tonight (November 16).
