Jesu Preps New Album for September Release
Restless British experimenter Justin K. Broadrick's latest endeavours include releasing music with projects like JK Flesh and Pale Sketcher, but his post-metal outfit Jesu is still alive and well. In fact, Jesu's new album, Every Day I Get Closer to the Light from Which I Came, is out on September 24.

Information about the LP is relatively scarce, but a press release notes, "This album is less reliant on the shorter guitar lead songs, and instead looks further inward to reveal a deeper, sombre, but more dynamic musical experience than 2011's Ascension."

The album was created over a period of more than two years, during which Broadrick was active with other projects. In a prior interview with Shoot Me Again Webzine, Broadrick described Every Day I Get Closer to the Light from Which I Came as being inspired by a "preoccupation with death." The album will be available on CD, vinyl and digital download.

This announcement comes just after news that he will appear on a remix album by La Fin Absolute du Monde.
