Jay Reatard's Debut with the Reatards Gets Expanded Reissue

Following the recent release of Jay Reatard's final new recordings on a limited seven-inch, more posthumous Reatard works are heading our way. Goner Records have just revealed the details of Teenage Hate / Fuck Elvis Here's the Reatards, an expanded reissue of the Reatards' 1998 debut.

Now a double album, the original record has been expanded to include Fuck Elvis Here's the Reatards, a bonus record of early tracks recorded on four-track and originally released as cassette only. Some of these songs include Oblivians/Reigning Sound member Greg Cartwright on drums. The album includes covers of Fear, the Dead Boys, Lil' Bunnies, Buddy Holly, Johnny Vomit & the Dry Heaves and the Beatles.

Teenage Hate / Fuck Elvis Here's the Reatards will be available on CD and double LP from Goner on May 17. A pre-order for the release is available here while the tracklisting is below.
