Jamie xx and Romy Madley-Croft both play in The xx, but with Jamie prepping his debut solo album, he recruited his bandmate to appear on one of his own tracks.
The tune is called "Loud Places," and it naturally bears some similarities to The xx's sultry, minimalism. But while The xx tend to embrace post-punk influences, this track boasts an electronic dance-pop sound with a lushly harmonized, uplifting chorus.
Hear it below [via Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show]. In an interview that follows the song, Jamie confirms that The xx's Oliver Sim is also on the album. He additionally shared the track "Gosh" on the show, but that one hasn't emerged online yet.
