Pop queen Madonna recently suffered an early album leak for her long-awaited Rebel Heart LP. Things are looking up, however, as the album now has an official release plan, and a hacker has been arrested in connection to the leak.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, a 39-year-old man was arrested in connection with the leaks. This followed a month-long investigation from a private firm and the cyber crime unit of Lahav 433, an Israeli organization similar to the FBI.
Officially, there's a gag order on the suspect's name, but local reporters have already identified the man as a former contestant on a popular singing reality show in Israel. It is believed that he broke into several personal computers of different musicians.
The Tel Aviv-based Wizman Yaar Investigations firm released a statement explaining that they received a complaint from Madonna's manager Guy Oseary. From there, they sent an agent to New York, where they checked Madonna's computer and confirmed "there was indeed a break in from a computer in Israel."
