Vancouver's Humans took to the stage at Alix Goolden Hall in typical Humans fashion — full of unbelievable energy and ready to engage with the crowd. They shared the stage, and their set, with an animated fiddler who knocked out a few notes to accompany a handful of songs, but mainly roused the crowd by racing around the stage with the band's mascot for the night — a life-sized cardboard cutout of the being stamped on Humans' record. At one point, the cutout got a little intimate with the crowd as he surfed through the pit. Known for their high energy sets rife with gritty synths bordering on electro, Humans skipped the niceties on tracks like "Clothespins," instead moving straight to the synth-heavy, danceable crowd pleasers. The duo, plus their fiddler, closed the show with "Avec Mes Mecs" during their encore, the trio jumping happily onstage in time with the music and crowd.
