Hollerado Expand North American Fall Tour, Unveil 10-Minute Music Video

Hollerado had already announced plans to tour North America with the Zolas in support of this year's excellent White Paint, and now the Canadian power-pop band have expanded the schedule with a heap of additional shows.

Following a few festival gigs in the summer, the "So It Goes" fall tour will launch in September in Ontario. From there, the band will head into the U.S. and Quebec in October before making their way westward, arriving on the Pacific coast in November. They will then make their way back across the Prairies.

The Zolas were previously confirmed as openers for a number of these shows, and it's not yet clear if they will join any more of the dates.

In advance of the tour, Hollerado have unveiled a video for the White Paint standout "So It Goes." The extended 10-minute clip — which is part music video, part mini-doc — is streaming below [via Huffington Post], and it's described in a press release like this:

The song is written about lead singer Menno Versteeg's Dutch grandfather (seen above 2nd from left pointing to a map to help direct Canadian soldiers) and the incredible story of how his life was spared by a Nazi officer during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands in WWII. After the war, Menno's "Opa" who was part of the Dutch Resistance, testified on behalf of the former SS soldier during a tribunal and recounted how the man had compassionately spared his life. In doing so, Menno's grandfather helped spare the German's life in return. With the help of the Dutch government, the band was actually able to track down the German's grandson, and Menno and the grandson — who are alive today because of both of their grandfathers' compassion and courage — have an emotional meeting in Munich while Hollerado was in Rotterdam shooting the music video.
