In the latest episode of Exclaim! TV's Aggressive Tendencies series, we feature Massachusetts grindcore act Hivesmasher.
During a stop at The 460 in Toronto, ON while on their recent tour, Exclaim! TV caught up with Hivesmasher frontman Aaron Heinold. He talked about the reception of their second album, Gutter Choir, the musical direction and how the band wanted to create a sound that transfers well to a live setting. Heinold also discussed the musical backgrounds that the members bring to the table, their different influences, as well as the lyrical approach.
Hivesmasher's Gutter Choir is out now via Black Market Activities, and is the full-length follow-up to their 2008 debut, Ascension Into Dismal Stages.
