Helado Negro Announces 'Invisible Life,' Gets Devendra Banhart, Members of Mouse on Mars, Bear in Heaven to Guest

Helado Negro (aka experimental popsmith Roberto Lange) stepped away from his solo career this year to issue the Ombre LP with vocal manipulator Julianna Barwick, but the guy will get back to his own tunes in 2013 for his upcoming Invisible Life.

Asthmatic Kitty will deliver the 10-song set on March 5. While Invisible Life has pulled Lange out of the Ombre collaboration for the time being, there are a number of guests that stopped by to assist the solo set. Musicians featured throughout the LP include Bear in Heaven's Jon Philpot, Mouse on Mars' Jan St. Werner, Devendra Banhart, Matt Crum and Eduardo Alonso.

The follow-up to 2011's Canta Lechuza differs from past work, as it's the first Helado Negro album to feature Lange's vocals in both English and Spanish. You can sample the first single, the dancey, synth-assisted dreamscape "Dance Ghost," down below.
