Tampa Bay death metal mainstays Hate Eternal are planning to drag us into their aural hellfire once again, having announced that they have a new LP called Infernus erupting this summer. Season of Mist will release this beast in North America on August 21 and overseas August 24.
Though a few specifics remain to be revealed, Season of Mist confirmed the upcoming album release today (May 29) over Facebook. It is Hate Eternal's first full-length for the label and follows the group's 2011 effort, Phoenix Amongst the Ashes.
Song details have yet to be delivered, but the group recorded the LP at frontman/guitarist Erik Rutan's Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, FL. It's the first full-length to feature drummer Chason Westmoreland (Oceano, Fallujah), who joined the band last year following the departure of outgoing skinsman Jade Simonetto.
Sessions for Infernus began last year, with Rutan issuing a quick statement in March noting the album was complete, save for mastering. The Hate Eternal leader further noted at the time, "Could not be more excited to unleash this beast! Dedication + hard work = A monster record!!!!"
Hate Eternal are currently out on the road with Deicide and Entombed A.D. as part of the Metal Alliance tour. The bands played a lone Canadian stop in Montreal earlier this week, but continue on in the U.S. until the end of June.
