Having cut his teeth as drummer for Halifax punks the Dean Malenkos and fronting Jon Epworth & the Improvements, one of Canada's best kept musical secrets, multi-instrumentalist Jon Epworth, is following up his 2008 solo LP, the two-part Turn Off Your Name, with Soul Mange. Warping the passionate Southern soul sound of Stax Records with flourishes of experimental rock and highly rhythmic, slightly metallic grit, the seven-song EP will be available digitally at his Bandcamp page on December 15.
