Maybach Music Group rapper Gunplay has been promising his debut LP Living Legend for an extremely long time, but the release is finally set to arrive this spring. To prove he's serious, he's shared a new single.
"Tell Em Daddy" is built on a deceptive beat that sounds minimal due to its reliance on repetition, but there's so much going on, from busy percussion and multiple synth patches through a sample of a woman repeating the song's title. It's a unique listen, and only serves to strengthen Gunplay's aggressive verses.
