Grinderman Rope in Robert Fripp, Nick Zinner, the National's Matt Berninger For Remix Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 5, 2012

Grinderman may have just put themselves on an indefinite hiatus, but the Nick Cave-led rock quartet will deliver at least one more album, in the form of a remix record, before the troupe gets back to performing in the singer's other group, the Bad Seeds.

Simply titled Grinderman 2 RMX, the collection of re-envisioned numbers from their 2010 set Grinderman 2 reveals a number of big players. Yeah Yeah Yeahs six-stringer Nick Zinner offers up a different spin on "Bellringer Blues," which you can stream below. Elsewhere, King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp joins the Grindermen for a reworked version of "Heathen Child". The group proper deliver a demo take of "Evil" (billed here as "First Evil") and the Horror's side project Cat's Eyes do a cover of "When My Baby Comes." Also appearing throughout the project are Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme, the National frontman Matt Berninger, UNKLE, A Place To Bury Strangers and more.

You can check out the full tracklisting for Grinderman 2 RMX, which comes out March 13 through ANTI-, down below.
