Montreal noise rock troupe Grand Trine -- who one ecstatic Exclaim! commenter once described as "Canada's best kept secret!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" -- are calling it quits. After four years as a band and releases on labels like Alien8, Divorce, Bruised Tongue and Blue Skies Turn Black, the band members have announced they are going their separate ways.

According to an email from the group, Grand Trine's Shubhayan Roy has decided to join Dirty Beaches as a full-time member, while Tobias Rochman has gone on to work with Captured Tracks signees Cosmetics.

The band won't fizzle out quietly, however, as they've decided to crank out one last seven-inch. The record features covers of 1967 Quebec band the Bohemians. The group featured Rochman's father and went on to become the Haunted.

Limited to 300 copies, Grand Trine's final seven-inch is available to order now from Almost Ready Records.
