With the fall officially here, there is once again a big pile of new releases out there for your listening pleasure. Make sure you take a look at Exclaim!'s Recently Reviewed section to see what our writers thought of all the latest releases, and you can start by checking out these highlights in our New Release Roundup.

To get things going, Broken Social Scene associate Jason Collett takes a thematic turn towards politics on his new record Reckon, with the song cycle being inspired by the globe's economic woes from 2008 and onward.

Next, critically acclaimed Brit sensation Jessie Ware brings us her debut album Devotion, which was recently nominated for the Mercury Prize. The singer is known for her vocal work with leading UK electronic producers such as SBTRKT and Joker.

Also out this week, Chicago four-piece California Wives mix together aspects of shoegaze, dream pop and '90s emo to create their new record Art History, featuring some re-recorded versions of previous songs. And California MCs Murs and Fashawn team up to deliver their collaborative work This Generation.

Lastly, in the world of heavy, New Jersey avant-garde metal band Fight Amp release their metallic, punk-infused noise-rock creation Birth Control, and Christian metalcore band As I Lay Dying bring us some more thrashy hardcore-infused tracks, as well as some more melody, on their latest record Awakened.
