Toronto-based singer-songwriter Gavin Slate recently released his Don't Be Scared at All LP, and Exclaim! has got the exclusive video premiere of the album's latest single "Hold You Close."
The video was a collaboration between Slate and director Gavin Booth, marking the pair's fifth video project together. It depicts young couple in the grips of heroin addiction, but nevertheless manages to convey a love story.
The footage was shot in Toronto and features performances from actors Sarah Booth and Ryan Kotack as the aforementioned junkies. Unsurprisingly, things take a pretty dark turn towards the end of the clip. You can watch the tragic tale unfold in the player below.
