New Orleans jam band Galactic released their Carnivale Electricos LP back in 2012, and they're finally set to return with a new album later this year.
Called Into the Deep, the new LP marks their 11th release overall. It was produced by the band's own Ben Ellman and Robert Mercurio, and features a wide array of guests. Those include Macy Gray, JJ Grey, David Shaw, Maggie Koerner, Ms. Charm Taylor, Ryan Montbleau, Mavis Staples and Brushy One String.
In a press release, the Mercurio said, "We look for uniqueness and a quality that makes the people we collaborate with distinctively who they are."
Into the Deep will arrive on July 17 via Provogue Records. The album can be pre-ordered here.
