After spending six year apart, American metalcore outfit From Autumn to Ashes have announced they're springing back into action for at least one more show.
Earlier this week, the New York quintet began uploading present-day group shots onto their Facebook page. This led to an announcement late yesterday (November 26) that they'll be playing next year's Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, QC. This will be the first live show vocalist Francis Mark, guitarists Brian Deneeve and Rob Lauritsen, bassist Mike Pilato and drummer Jeff Gretz have performed together since the band broke up in 2008.
The band wrote: "Here you go. a LITTLE bit early. We'll be playing at Amnesia Rockfest this June in Montebello Canada. Us and Refused are the only two bands announced so far but we hear it's a pretty stellar line up. We'll play some more shows as well."
Formed in 2000, From Autumn to Ashes delivered four full-length albums, three EPs and a live record before calling it quits in 2008. Their last LP was 2007's Holding a Wolf By the Ears. Mark and Lauritsen put the focus on new group Warship after folding From Autumn to Ashes, but that group broke up in 2009 following the release of their debut effort, Supply and Depend.
While details surrounding the reunion are still developing, it looks as if fans will have more reunion dates on the horizon, hopefully including a few more Canadian concerts around the same time they hit Amnesia Rockfest.
As previously reported, Refused are also set to play next year's Rockfest.
