Saturday Night Live alum and Portlandia co-star Fred Armisen is one busy dude — so much so, that his constant exploits have become a nightly bit on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where Armisen serves as band-leader when he's available. As if that weren't enough on his plate, his name has come up in two more projects.
Armisen has been confirmed as a cast member in Ben Stiller's forthcoming Zoolander sequel. While Armisen's role is unclear, he'll join Stiller and returning actors Owen Wilson, Christine Taylor and, most likely, Will Ferrell. The film also stars Cyrus Arnold as Stiller's son, and it's rumoured to feature cameos from Jonah Hill, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Naomi Campbell and Anna Wintour.
Zoolander 2 will shoot in Rome for three months. Armisen confirmed his part in the film via a new Instagram video:
In addition, he's also been slated to host a weird Beatles tribute on Howard Stern's Sirius XM show this Friday night (April 24). He'll be joined by the Flaming Lips, who'll perform songs from their Sgt. Pepper's tribute With a Little Help from My Fwends. A press release suggests there will be plenty of surprises on the show. The whole thing takes place at 11 p.m. EDT.
