Long-running San Francisco proto-grunge noise enthusiasts Flipper have announced they'll be releasing two brand new albums titled Love and Fight. Love is a studio album that was recorded with former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, who has been with the band since their 2005 reunion, while Fight is a live album that was recorded in Seattle and Portland.
Both albums were produced by grunge legend Jack Endino and will be out on May 19 via MVD Audio. Besides that, the band will be reissuing their storied back catalogue beginning in June.
Unfortunately, Novoselic "has decided that touring is not something he wants to do, at this time," so the band have found a new bassist in Rachel Thoele. They'll be bringing her out to some Australian dates, with the promise of a full-fledged North American tour later this year.
