Fans of New Zealand's "fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo" Flight of the Conchords can rejoice, as the Kiwi songwriting team have announced the release of their second album. Sassily titled I Told You I Was Freaky, the record showcases the best songs from the second season of their hit HBO series.
The record will be available on CD and vinyl from Sub Pop on October 20. Most of these tracks were available as iTunes digital downloads after their respective episodes aired but three of them are becoming available for the first time. Those tracks are "Rambling Through the Avenues of Time," "Too Many Dicks (On the Dance Floor)" and "You Don't Have to Be a Prostitute."
Like their last two Sub Pop releases, it's pretty much guaranteed that this album will bring the duo a nod for best comedy album at this year's Grammy Awards.
