While we already knew when this year's Field Trip Music & Arts Festival was, fest organizers have now announced the lineup for the Toronto summer fest, including rootsy headlining sets from Alabama Shakes and My Morning Jacket.
The artist lineup was revealed today (February 4) in a press release, which notes that a "carefully curated mixture of international and domestic talent" will be hitting Toronto's Fort York & Garrison Common from June 6 to 7. This includes UK popster Marina & the Diamonds, Father John Misty, the War on Drugs, hip-hop vets De La Soul, Rhye, Lee Fields and the Expressions, and Temples.
On the domestic side of things, Canadian acts showing up to the party include Purity Ring and Arkells, with sponsors Arts & Crafts' roster being represented by Dan Mangan + Blacksmith, Hayden, Andy Kim and Kevin Drew, Calvin Love, Absolutely Free, and Apostle of Hustle, who will be performing their 2004 LP Folkloric Feel in full.
Also appearing on the Fort York stages will be cherished Canadian children's entertainers Sharon and Bram, as well as educational act From Jamaica to Toronto. Organizers added that they've expanded their "Day Camp" programming, which provides "a wealth of youth-focused activities and performances" for children. Kids 12 years of age and under will be admitted for free.
Weekend passes to Field Trip go up for sale on Friday (February 6), with a standard two-day pass going for $120, plus service charges. A VIP pass will go for $200. Single day entry will be $85, though these go on sale at a later date. You'll find out more info here.
