Glaswegian post-punks Franz Ferdinand and Los Angeles cult rock legends Sparks have teamed up as FFS and prepared a full-length album together. It's the sort of bizarre collaboration that had us feeling skeptical, but each new single proves it was a great idea.
"Johnny Delusional" sees the bands falling more on the Sparks side of things, pairing a perky disco rhythm section with cabaret pianos and addictive vocal harmonies. It sounds good on its own, but it'll likely serve an even greater purpose when sequenced in the context of an album.
Listen to "Johnny Delusional" below. FFS arrives on June 8 via Domino.
