Father John Misty

"I Love You, Honeybear" (live on 'Conan')

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 16, 2015

Who doesn't love a good Father John Misty performance? The dramatic songsmith popped up on TV again to support this year's heartfelt I Love You, Honeybear, treating Conan's in-studio audience to a live version of the title track. You can now watch the performance online.

The appearance had Father John Misty in fine form, both grasping at his mic stand and reaching for the rafters as he croons about steadfast convictions, doomsday-anticipating coitus, dumb neighbours and more. He drops to his knees at one point, and gets a little growlier than we're usually used to.

You'll find the engaging run-through of "I Love You, Honeybear" down below.

Father John Misty plays the Pemberton Music Festival this Saturday (July 18), and has additional festival dates coming up this month in Calgary and Edmonton. You'll find all of his upcoming tour schedule over here.
