Father John Misty

'The b.b. gun Session' (live videos)

Last week, we witnessed Father John Misty perform a cover of Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" as part of a CBC taping. Now, the rest of the mini-set has emerged.

The session was filmed at b.b gun leather, a small garage-turned-leather-shop in Vancouver. Accompanied by pianist Kyle Flynn, Mr. Misty performed barebones renditions of three songs from this year's I Love You, Honeybear ("Bored in the USA," "I Love You, Honeybear" and "Holy Shit"), plus the Fear Fun cut "Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings." It serves as an impressive showcase of his powerful voice and vivid lyrics, with the unique venue adding to the intimacy of the material.

Watch the intimate session below. The previously unveiled cover of "The Suburbs" is also below, along with an interview.
