After recently confirming an appearance at this coming August's Heavy Montreal festival, Faith No More have revealed they'll undertake a North American tour a few months ahead of time.
This morning (January 26) the band laid out their upcoming travel plans, which have them hitting venues in April and May. These will be the first North American dates for the band since 2010. The tour kicks off at Vancouver's PNE Forum on April 15, with a second Canadian date taking place at Toronto's Sony Centre for the Performing Arts on May 9.
Bass player Billy Gould noted in a press release that the band haven't hit some of these cities in 17 years. With an upcoming, as-yet-undetailed LP on the way later this year, he added: "We are armed with the new material and ready for whatever comes our way."
You can see the schedule below. As you'll notice, there are also several international dates as well.
Following up the previous album tease, "Motherfucker," Faith No More have now explained that a second single, titled "Superhero," will be delivered on a limited-edition 7-inch March 17. A digital release lands March 31.
Faith No More's next LP, their first since 1997's Album of the Year, has yet to be given a name or a solid due date, but it will land through their own Reclamation Recordings, via vocalist Mike Patton's Ipecac Recordings, sometime in May.
