Having already teased his Early Riser with a stream of first single "Factory Made," roots-loving Toronto singer-songwriter Jerry Leger is now complementing the track ahead of the record's April 22 due date with a subtle and moody black and white video clip.
Shots of the bearded artist singing the track in a darkened room run anywhere from crystal clear to vaseline-smeared, instead putting the focus on the folk-indebted tune's sombre arrangement and lyrics that have the guy run out of town after losing his mind "on a girl so divine."
As Leger explains in a statement: "'Factory Made' is a video directed by Morgan Yew that relies more on atmosphere and use of lighting. It creates a moody visual for a song that discusses art with a trick up its sleeve."
As previously reported, Leger's Early Riser arrives via Latent Recordings and will be supported over a series of spring concert appearances. His updated show schedule now has him travelling through Canada until June. You can get the show specifics above the video.
