It's hard to believe it's already been 11 months since Saskatoon hip-hop producer Factor launched his Factor Friday's Single Series, but as November draws to an end, the penultimate instalment has already arrived.
The latest single hears Factor pairing up with Connecticut-based rapper Ceschi, owner of Fake Four Inc. Factor's released music on said label in the past and is currently prepping a collaborative record with Ceschi called Broken Bone Ballads, which is due out in February.
According to Factor, the new single was inspired by the Microphones' lyric, "I could not get through September without a battle" and was written and recorded in September 2013 before Ceschi went to prison on "questionable marijuana charges." Ceschi spits rapid-fire rhymes over Factor's sparse but sparkling beat and a simple, sweet and almost child-like hook.
