Arch Enemy's roster has been in a state of flux recently, with the metal troupe now reporting that they've added ex-Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis to their ranks.
The announcement was made over Facebook, with the outfit confirming that guitarist Nick Cordle has left the fold and will be replaced by Loomis. Cordle had joined the band in 2012 and performed on Arch Enemy's recent War Eternal LP.
"I'm very excited to be playing with Arch Enemy," Loomis said in a statement. "[Guitarist] Michael Amott and I have stayed in contact over the years since we toured together when I was playing in Nevermore. Not only do I admire his guitar playing and songwriting, but I also consider him a close friend. To be able to share the stage with Michael, Sharlee [D'angelo, bass], Daniel [Erlandsson, drums] and Alissa [White-Gluz, vocals] is something I'm really looking forward to."
While the band are currently wrapping up a North American tour with Kreator, Loomis' first show with Arch Enemy will be November 26 in Lyon, France. Stepping in for the final dates of the North American trip will be guitarist Christopher Amott, who himself had been replaced by Cordle in 2012.
Arch Enemy are currently on the road supporting War Eternal, the act's first album with White-Gluz on vocals.
