Eternal Husbands

"The Known Universe" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 29, 2015

Self-described "fogpop" unit Eternal Husbands are set to unveil their next LP French Exit next month, but before it arrives, Exclaim! has got your first look at the brand new video for "The Known Universe."

We've already heard "Exiles" and "Purple City" from the forthcoming album, but now you can dig deeper with the accompanying visuals to "The Known Universe." The track (like the rest of the album) was recorded with Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung) at Vancouver's Rain City Recorders, and the video itself is a rather universal affair.

Using footage from Cosmos: A Personal Voyage and Encounters at the End of the World, the clip explores the very subject matter referenced in the song's title — with some footage of adorable penguins thrown in for good measure.

The band recently made the leap from a duo to a three-piece, with childhood friends Rick Reid and Matt Leddy bringing drummer Jesse Silkie into the mix for the live show. You can see their upcoming dates below, and scroll past those to watch the video premiere of "The Known Universe."

Future videos from the new record will feature fan-made footage, with the band encouraging supporters to send in their own videos for French Exit's singles as they're released. If you want to submit one of your own, send it over here. The album itself arrives June 12.
