Eskimeaux's 'Two Mountains' Gets Treated to Reissue

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Sep 4, 2015

Brooklyn-based musician Gabrielle Smith released her latest album as Eskimeaux earlier this year with a set of bedroom pop gems titled O.K. Now, newcomers to her tunes will have a chance to explore some of her musical history, as her 2011 record Two Mountains is getting reissued on vinyl and cassette.

The reissued release will arrive on October 23 via Yellow K Records. It was originally distributed on homemade CDs, but will now make its way to a wider audience.

While Eskimeaux began as an outlet for Smith to release experimental and noise albums, Two Mountains marked a decided turn towards more a more structured style of songwriting. Since 2011, Eskimeaux released a self-titled 2012 EDM album, followed by the aforementioned O.K.  Smith is also a founder of the Epoch artist collective and plays in Frankie Cosmos.

Eskimeaux is about to embark on a string of North American tour dates with Philadelphia-based DIY duo Girlpool, and you can see the upcoming shows listed below. Beyond that, give Two Mountains a listen before it arrives in physical form next month.
