In addition to Eminem's new "Phenomenal" single, the previously teased soundtrack to boxing drama Southpaw will feature a mix of new and previously unheard material from the Weeknd, Gwen Stefani, Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$ and more. Em's executively produced soundtrack lands like a mean left hook July 24, the same day the film hits theatres across North America.
As previously reported, the soundtrack arrives through Slim's Shady Records imprint. Eminem is set to contribute the aforementioned "Phenomenal," a collaboration with Gwen Stefani called "Kings Never Died," and a pair of tracks as part of his Bad Meets Evil project with Royce Da 5'9". The latter's Slaughterhouse project also have a song on the set.
Elsewhere, Action Bronson and Joey Bada$$ connect for another joint cut, Royce da 5'9" and DJ Premier's PRhyme bring Logic out for "Mode," and Toronto R&B artist the Weeknd's "Wicked Games" single has been dusted off for the project as well.
The collection is bookended by pieces from composer James Horner. Sadly, the film and soundtrack are being released posthumously, as Horner passed away in a plane crash earlier this week.
You'll find the rest of the details on the soundtrack, which also includes appearances from the Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes, down below.
