Moving on from the distorted sounds of the Dying Arts' 2014 self-titled EP, the Toronto band have announced they've signed with Culvert Music to deliver their next offering. Titled You Had It Coming, it heads our way October 23.
A press release notes that the upcoming six-song collection mixes "riotous punk with bits of post-rock and indie," sounding something like a mix of artists from the Dischord and Sub Pop stables. The band are teasing the collection with first single "Liar," which somewhat recalls the amped-up noise-rock aggression of fellow Ontarians METZ. You'll find a stream of the song down below.
The full details behind the EP are forthcoming, as is info on a North American tour schedule. As previously reported, the band will be playing this Sunday's (September 20) Riot Fest in Toronto.
Tour dates:
09/20 Toronto, ON - Riot Fest
