Dum Dum Girls/Crocodiles Spinoff Haunted Hearts Reveal Debut Album, Share Video

Back in 2012, Dum Dum Girls singer Dee Dee teamed up with her husband, Brandon Welchez of Crocodiles, to release a 7-inch under the name Haunted Hearts. Now, the couple have announced their debut album with the project.

The record is called Initiation, and it's due out on May 27 through Zoo Music, the label operated by Dee Dee and Welchez. A cassette version will arrive through Dream Recordings.

The eight songs were written the winter of 2012. According to a press release [via Pitchfork], the couple were "holed up in their apartment, surrounded by a lot of books, Motown, and Krautrock." They then entered San Diego, CA's Electric Orange Studios with Jon Greene. Mixing was handled by Jorge Elbrecht of Violens, and the results were mastered by Joe LaPorta.

The prior single "Something That Feels Bad Is Something That Feels Good" and its B-side "House of Lords" both reemerge here.
