Dum Dum Girls' Dee Dee and Crocodiles' Brandon Welchez Team Up as Haunted Hearts, Reveal New Single and NSFW Cover Art

In addition to being the co-founders of the Zoo Music label, Brandon Welchez of Crocodiles and Dee Dee of Dum Dum Girls are husband and wife. Now, the two have started up their own band and have a new 7-inch on the way.

The project is called Haunted Hearts, and their first single brings together the songs "Something That Feels Bad Is Something That Feels Good" and "House of Lords." It will be out on February 5 through their own Zoo Music, and was recorded at San Diego, CA's Electric Orange Studio. That's the extremely NSFW album cover above.

The two songwriters reportedly haven't stayed too far from the fuzz-pop sound of their primary projects. A press release explains, "Haunted Hearts is sure to please fans of both members' other bands as well as anyone who appreciates solid song writing and atmosphere."

Apparently this won't be the last time Welchez and Dee Dee team up as Haunted Hearts. Back in the summer, the band's male half told Coup De Main, "It sounds like a 50/50 split between our bands to be honest. We're aiming to record an LP this winter, time permitting."

Stay tuned for further announcements and music samples.
