Just in case you missed him, Aussie electronic champ Dub Fx will once again be hitting up venues in North American this year, travelling throughout Canada and the U.S. in the late summer and early fall.
For more than a month from mid-September through to the second half of October, Dub Fx will travel around the continent. More than half of his shows are here in Canada, where he will touch down in such cities as Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver and Winnipeg, among others.
Check out the schedule down below. Select dates comes with support from VILIFY and Kytami, and more dates are expected to be announced.
The tour is in support of his latest album The Theory of Harmony, and as an added bonus, Dub Fx will be hosting a Homegrown Harmony Contest, in which fans will have a chance to perform onstage with the man himself. To apply, hopefuls must send an email to dubfx@dubfx.net and put the name of your city (or the city you're hoping to perform in) in the subject line. In the email, include a link to a personal music recording and be sure to submit more than two weeks prior to the show.
MCs should take note that you will be asked to avoid excessive profanity and "uninspired rants about guns and hoes." Musicians should perform an instrument that is portable, requires no amplification and can be played into a vocal microphone. Up to five winners will be chosen in each city for a "pass the mic" portion of each show.
