"Black Magic"

Seductive R&B songwriter The-Dream already released his Crown EP, and he's preparing to follow it up with the companion Jewel. Now, he's unveiled the Jewel track "Black Magic."

The song rides a funky soul groove for six minutes, as Terius Nash croons about sex and love and declares, "I don't believe in love at first sight / I believe in love when the mood's right." He also threatens to "cast a spell on you," although this claim is sexy rather than sinister, and the crooning is briefly interrupted by a rap verse.

Hear it below.

The-Dream's full Crown Jewel album will be out on July 10 through Capitol. The musician previously said, "Crown is more modern R&B, and Jewel will be more what you might think of as my songwriter side, the songs I might have given to other artists before."
